Semmi is a play on a childhood nickname my parents gave me, Sweet Emi. When it came to naming this brand, I didn't want anything cliche "wipe" or "flush" references.

So I took something close to my heart and gave it a little twist. It's a name that doesn't scream "bathroom product," but fits perfectly in one.

Yes! We take that sh*t seriously. All Semmi wipes pass the 7 flushability tests outlined in the GD4 guidelines—the gold standard used across North America and Europe to ensure wipes break down safely in both sewer and septic systems.

Our wipes are made from 100% plant-based fibers, and are designed to break down once flushed—unlike baby wipes, makeup wipes, etc.

Here’s the tea: A recent study sampled nearly 1,700+ sewer items and found that flushable wipes made up less than 1%, while paper products (53%) and non-flushable wipes like baby wipes (34%) were the real offenders.

That said, we recommend flushing 1-2 wipes at a time, just to keep things flowing smoothly. Not comfortable flushing wipes in your house? No worries, you can throw the wipe in the trash.

Our wipes are also third-party tested to be alcohol-free, plastic-free, and hypoallergenic.

You bet. Our wipes are sewer and septic safe and complies with IWSFG 2020 and INDA/EDANA GD4 flushability guidelines. Its plant-derived fibers are purposefully designed to disintegrate as well as toilet paper when flushed (two wipes max per flush).
